Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Hemel Hempstead. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems for both our workshop and on-site client projects. This role requires a hands-on approach, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design and develop electrical systems and components for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Project Management: Manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment at the workshop and on client sites.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and project reports.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical systems and installations comply with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions and meet project goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve processes and solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical design software, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues and clients.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to client sites and work on various projects as required.
